Call for More Job Opportunities in Tamil Nadu

An Appeal for Increased Opportunities: Dr. Ramadoss Speaks Out.

On October 14, 2024, PMK president Dr. Anbumani Ramadoss made an important appeal to the Tamil Nadu government and the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). He urged them to increase the number of job vacancies for the Combined Civil Services Examination-IV (Group IV Services) to at least 15,000.

Dr. Ramadoss expressed disappointment that the government only raised vacancies from 6,724 to 8,932, an increase of just 2,208 positions. He believes this is not enough to support the thousands of young people seeking jobs.

According to recent reports, about 400,000 government jobs are currently unfilled in Tamil Nadu, which poses a significant challenge for youth employment. Dr. Ramadoss warned that a decline in Group IV recruitments could affect essential government services that benefit the public.

The lack of transparency from the government regarding these job opportunities raises concerns among youth and their families. By acting quickly to fill these vacancies, the Tamil Nadu government can create a brighter future for its young citizens and ensure that vital services continue to be delivered effectively.

To support youth employment and improve government transparency, it is crucial for the authorities to increase job vacancies and provide clear information about recruitment processes. This way, young people in Tamil Nadu can have better access to stable and rewarding careers, helping them contribute to the state’s growth and development.
